Remarks: “Xuelong” is B1 ice-breaker with displacement 21025 tons, 167 meters long, 22.6m wide, the maximum navigation ability for 20,000 miles. “Xuelong” has been upgraded for 3 times since 1993. the present vessel has the atmosphere, hydrology, biological, computer data processing center, meteorological forecast center and Marine physical, chemical, biological, geology, meteorological and clean and so on a series of scientific research laboratories, with a total area of 500 square meters. Equipped with the MK-3 / WOCE CTD and water sampler; 75KHZ and ADCP fish explorer; survey equipment such as was A frame, CTD winch; 3000 meters hydrological winch and two 6000 meters geological winches, can undertake multi-disciplinary comprehensive Marine investigation. Her main task for 2010/2011 is to transport personnel, materials and fuels and provide a platform for ocean investigation.
