Considered to be part of Horseshoe Island base and designated along with Horseshoe as Historic Site and Monument No. 63 at the XIX ATCM in March 1995. Last visited by BAS personnel in 1999.

A programme of renovation was carried out during March 1997. A survey of the site was undertaken as part of a wider heritage survey during the 2006/07 austral summer.

Remarks / Description: On Goudier Island, a small rocky island in a sheltered harbour on the west coast of Wiencke Island; established February 1944. Designated as Historic Site and Monument No 61 at the XIX ATCM in 1995. Base repaired and cleaned up by five-man team in February 1996. Since then the station has been opened for visitors and further work carried out during each summer season. The British Antarctic Survey has undertaken the conservation work with the guidance of the United Kingdom Heritage Trust and the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office. The operation of Port Lockroy was handed over to the UK Antarctic Heritage in July 2006.

Remarks / Description: At 9 m above sea level, attached to mainland east of the Argentine Islands; established March 1984. Last inspected by BAS personnel in March 1991. Hut now used regularly by scientists and support staff from the Ukrainian Antarctic research programme operating from Vernadsky.

Remarks / Description: On north coast of Laurie Island; established January 1946 and evacuated in March 1947. Occasionally used by other national operators as a field refuge. A demolition feasibility study was undertaken at Cape Geddes in March 2007. The study concluded that the site is environmentally sensitive and that demolition could not be undertaken during the austral summer without resulting in greater environmental impact than leaving it in situ.

Emergency repair work undertaken by two-man team during January 2003. A survey of the site was undertaken as part of a wider heritage survey during the 2006/07 austral summer.

Remarks / Description: On opposite side of Stella Creek to Ukrainian Vernadsky Research Station. Established in 1947 on the site of the 1937/38 British Graham Land Expedition hut. In view of close proximity (0.75 km) to Vernadsky station it is not regarded as an emergency refuge and so does not hold food and fuel stock. Designated as Historic Site and Monument No 62 at the XIX ATCM in 1995. A survey of the site was undertaken as part of a wider heritage survey during the 2006/07 austral summer.

Military personnel in expeditions: HMS Protector, Ice Patrol Ship, Ice Breaker vessel. Up to 100 Offciers and Crew including 1 Doctor
Number and Type of Armaments possessed by personnel: Military Equipment. Small arms carried for defensive purposes only, in accodrance with Royal Navy Force Protection Doctrine.
Number and Type of Armaments of ships and aircraft: Ship's boats include 2 x MIBs, 2 x RIBs adn RKT utility adn cargo tender adn a Survey Moter BOat with multi-beam echo sounder. HMS Protector can operate Dauhin or Lynx sized helicopters from her flight deck.
Information and Location of Military Equipment in the AT Area: HMS Protector will operate South fo 60 between January and April 2013. Areas to be visited include the Bransfield Strait, South Shelends, James Ross Isladn and Rorthera areas. a considerable period of this time will be spent conducting hydrographaic surveys for the UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO)
