Maximum Population: 28
Medical Facilities: Supplies and equipment - 30kg of medical equipment and supplies. Medical facilities have basic equipment – defibrillators, ventilators. No X rays, ultrasound or other sophisticated diagnostic capabilities. Emergency facilities installed at the airstrip. One doctor will be present from 17/11/2017 and will be replaced by a second on the 12/01/2018.4 paramedics amongst team and 1 fireman for season 2017-18. Number of patient beds: One
Remarks / Description: The systems described below allow the station to be close to a zero emission station. The station utilize renewable energy as the primary energy source with the minimum use of fossil fuels. The station has a comprehensive energy management regime. In addition technologies reducing consumption are present, such as use of low energy-use equipment, “presence detector” systems for unoccupied rooms, etc. er. 2 Back-up generators have been installed to ensure a constant energy supply, it is currently expected that fuel consumption for power generation (tonnes) foreseen is less 2000 litres of diesel. However, fuel will be used for vehicles and transport. Impact at the site. Station : There are 2855 man-days foreseen at the station and in the vicinity (1492 days in 2016-17 season). Combined waste management facilities can handle the projected daily numbers of visitors. Bioreactors were not designed for large numbers, and during high occupation, the station has to use alternative sanitary facilities for sealing waste before collection and evacuation. Grey and blackwater production is managed using an alternative dry toilet this season. Additional installations have been put in place to reduce the final production of material for evacuation from the continent. Some grey water discharge is likely to a marked crevasse (bergschrund).
Operating Period: From: November To: February
