Main Activity/ Remarks: Antarctic Search for Transiting ExoPlanets ASTEP is an astronomy programme designed to monitor photometrically the dome C sky. Its aims are (1) to assess precisely the photometric quality of the Concordia site (2) to discover and characterize exoplanets transiting in front of their stars and (3) to prepare future ambitious campaigns for the characterization of super-Earths. Installation and first observations with ASTEP 400 will start in 2010-2011. ASTEP will allow precise photometric observations of target of opportunities (transiting exoplanets, microlenses...etc.) in the South hemisphere during antarctic winters until 2014. It will be possible to usefully combine the observations with those of other instruments on the site (e.g. IRAIT).

Main Activity/ Remarks: BRAIN: BACKGROUND RADIATION INSTRUMENT The aim of our program is to observe the microwave polarisation of the sky from Dôme C with the main scientific objective to detect and characterise the B mode of the Cosmic Microwave Background polarisation. This program requires the set up on site of a complex instrumentation which is as robust on the measurement side than on its system side. The installation of the prototype instrument will be carried out progressively until 2012 and the observation campaigns with the full size interferometer should run until 2015.

Main Activity/ Remarks: Calibration – validation of meteorological and climate models and satellite retrieval, Antarctic coast to Dome C This project is designed to acquire field data in Adélie Land and at the Dome C to better verify, validate or improve meteorological and climate modelling at the process scale and satellite retrieval (thermal infra-red and passive microwaves) over the Antarctic region. This project takes over the IPY-CONCORDIASI project for the IR and meteorological modeling, and it is the field component of the «Surface mass balance uncertainties» workpackage of the FP7 European project ICE2SEA planned to start in 2010.

Main Activity/ Remarks: Ground Thz Camera for Antarctic Camistic is a Sub-millimetre / Thz camera with goal of site testing at Concordia by measuring the transmission and stability of the atmosphere. This camera placed on the 0.8m telescope IRAIT will explore the Thz domain in preparation of sub-millimetre astronomy experiments with larger telescopes at dome C. Astronomy goals are the study of star formation and the early stages of the universe. The program includes both the site testing, the characterization of the polar constraints and the build up of a camera that withstands these conditions.

Main Activity/ Remarks: Atmospheric Sulfur Cycle in relation with climate at mid and high Southern latitudes The atmospheric Sulfur cycle at mid and high southern latitudes: interannual variability of marine DMS emissions (sea-ice, ocean temperature, oceanic DMS content, chlorophyll a, short-term climatic event such as ENSO) and future response to global climate change. That includes a year-record study of DMS and sulfur aerosol at DDU, Amsterdam and Concordia Station, DMS in seawater collected during ship traverses between different stations.

Main Activity/ Remarks: Cetacean distribution off Adélie Land This project aims at documenting background information on summer presence and relative abundance of cetaceans over the continental shelf off Terre Adélie, Eastern Antarctica. It will constitute one of the rare French contribution to the ongoing assessment of large whales of the Southern Ocean conducted by the International Whaling Commission, as well as to the Regional Non-Lethal Whale Research Partnerships in the Southern Oceanrecently proposed by Australia. Two observers will survey relative abundances of minke, fin, humpback, blue, right and killer whales from onboard R/V l'Astrolabe used as a platform of opportunity. Field work will be conducted during existing oceanographic surveys (ICO2TA, ALBION) conducted annually in January off Dumont D'Urville. Cetacean distribution will be related to the distribution of biotic (zooplankton) and abiotic (hydrographic parameters, sea ice condition and physiography) collected during the cruises. When possible, photo ID and biopsies samples of humpback and blue whales will be collected and compared to existing catalogues from the breeding grounds in order to assess the migratory connection between breeding grounds and feeding areas. After two years we will assess the outcome of the study to decide whether it is worth conducting whale research at this location on a longer term and possibly on a larger scale.

Main Activity/ Remarks: Analyses CHImiCo-physiques de la neige et du névé pour l'évaluation de l'accumulation en Terre Adélie et dans le Bassin Aurora nord Initiated by the Australian Antarctic Division (AAD), and in close collaboration with Denmark, USA and France, a new project of intermediate ice core drilling (400 m) is planned in the Aurora Basin North (ABN, East Antarctica) from November, 2013 till March, 2014. The site is located at the former AWS meteorological station GC41 (71°36'10, 111°15'46). It is located 1250 km from DDU, 600 km from Casey and 550 km from DMC. It appears ideal to collect an ice core covering about 2000 years of climatic recordings with a quasi-annual resolution (annual accumulation rate estimated at 10 cm of water). These new data will improve our knowledge of the regional and hemispherical climatic functioning, and thus our ability of reconstruction of the recent past and current Antarctic climate. The main French scientific interest in the new ice core (coordinated by Jérôme Chappellaz, LGGE) is related with better understanding the water cycle (triple isotopic composition of oxygen, LSCE), carbon monoxide studies (LGGE), and solar (through 10-Beryllium, CEREGE) and volcanic (sulfate isotopes, LGGE) forcing histories. The French logistical contribution relies on the IPEV logistic traverse, which will establish a runway for planes chartered by the AAD at ABN. In addition to providing access to the ice core, this collaborative international project thus gives the opportunity for ITASE-France to pursue its scientific activities in sectors up to there poorly studied. The main scientific objectives of the ``traverse`` part of the project are to extend the work introduced during the recent VANISH scientific traverse, namely: estimating past and current ice sheet thickness changes (last 50-100 years) in the central regions of east Antarctica, and better interpreting the glacial archives. Snow Ground Penetrating Radar meaurements, firn / ice cores collecting, snow surface sampling are the main field activities planned within the framework of the scientific traverse in this new program. We plan to implement the traverse scientific programme from Cap Prud’Homme (CP) to the ABN drilling site (through the D85 station) during the way-in, and from ABN to DMC on the way-out. Scientific activities are also planned at ABN, in association with the Australians, notably a second ice core drilling (200 m) handled by the French team and providing the raw ice material for sulfate isotope studies.

Implications for the incorporation and depositions of impurities in Dôme C ice cores will be studied.

Main Activity/ Remarks: Dynamics of coastal outlet glaciers and implications on the overall mass balance of the East Antarctic ice sheet As an extension to the first 3 years of DACOTA, the proposed program aims at a perennial and extended survey of the test zone of Glacier de l'Astrolabe (Terre Adélie). Not only such a pannel of observations allows for a better characterization of the glacier dynamics (the role of these outlet glaciers on the the overall mass balance of large parts of the ice sheet is crucial) but it also proves necessary for properly running and validating an ice flow model in order to produce realistic forecasts of the future of these glaciers and the consequences on sea level.

Main Activity/ Remarks: Adaptive strategies and population dynamics of penguins under environmental constraints The objective is to evaluate the capacity of populations of king, Adelie and emperor penguins to adapt to global changes through the study of functional mechanisms and microevolutionary processes. Our unique database, without the biasing effects of flipper bands, will allow us to study the impacts of environmental variability (climatic and trophic) on survival, the phenology of reproductive performance, and the foraging patterns of different penguin cohorts, accounting for their age, status, experience, and other phenotypic traits (morphological, physiological, and behavioural; traits whose plasticity and heritability will be considered). We will also study the spatial structuration of colonies and the function of different constraints (parasitism, predation, meteorological conditions, location, etc.) with the use of robotic buggies and automated camera systems, as well as the structuration, the diversity, and the genetic variability between colonies within and between archipelagos. Finally, we will conduct a prospective analysis of the populations changes based on climate scenarios.

Main Activity/ Remarks: Permanent magnetic observatories The permanent magnetic observatories of Dumont d'Urville and Concordia are fulfilling the Intermagnet (INTErnational Real-time MAGnetic observatory NETwork) standards. In these observatories, the Earth's magnetic field is continuously recorded with sampling rates of 1s. Absolute measurements of the magnetic field components are also performed regularly (every two days) along the year. The data processing and dissemination, to the world Data Centers (W.D.C. for Geomagnetism) across the Intermagnet network, are quasi real-time thanks to the recent acquisition system integrating daily shipment protocols. The continuity, quality, stability and homogeneity of those observations are of the upmost importance for their continued usefulness for the whole scientific community. The observatories are localized in remote places that do not allow to fully use usual French observatories protocols (BCMT protocol usually used: permanent internet connection, permanent observer, larger site and shelters, ...) and have led necessarily to logistical and technological adaptations. We plan to continue the consolidation of our equipment.

Main Activity/ Remarks: The glaciers, an observatory of climate, Antarctic component This project is the renewal of GLACIOCLIM SAMBA program, which was initiated in 2004. GLACIOCLIM SAMBA is the Antarctic component of the GLACIOCLIM SO/ORE, in order to detect, monitor and understand climate and mass balance variability and change in the glacial environment. The program proposes surveying and maintaining the surface mass balance networks at Cap Prud'homme (CP, summer and winter surveys), along a 156 km transect (1 survey/yr), and at Concordia (1 survey/year or more) and the meteorological instruments deployed near CP. Special meteorological and glaciological observing periods are also planned in order to analyze particular meteorological processes.

Main Activity/ Remarks: Glaciological studies at Dome Concordia The permanent station at Concordia near the EPICA site is considered of a great interest for glaciological studies. The scientific objectives of this project are: a better interpretation of ice cores with a focus on validation of the transfer functions atmosphere/snow/ice and the analysis at Concordia of ice cores that will be collected during 2010-2011 traverses and ice drilling under other IPEV programs ; the understanding of local ice flow dynamics and estimation of current thickness change in central part of Antarctica based on surface observation (re-survey of the existing strain network), modeling, remote sensing approaches and innovative measurements in the borehole. Furthermore Dome Concordia is an ideal site for validation of remote sensing measurements over the Antarctic plateau.

Main Activity/ Remarks: Global Mercury Observation system in austral and antarctic lands The GMOstral is initiated by a European project GMOS (Global Mercury Observation System), which aims at developing a coordinated global observation system for the global pollutant, atmospheric mercury (Hg). This will then provide high quality data for the validation and application of regional and global scale atmospheric models, to give a firm basis for future policy development and implementation. In this context we propose to implement three Hg monitoring stations in sub-Antarctic and Antarctic sites in order to document and monitor the atmospheric Hg trends in remote places of the southern hemisphere and to study the almost unknown reactivity of Hg in those regions, in particular diurnal cycling, deposition, and reemission trends in Antarctica.

Main Activity/ Remarks: Electronic Reliability at High Altitude and High Latitude Cosmic rays continuously reach the Earth atmosphere which lead to various dysfunctions in electronic components and systems. These dysfunctions are critical for applications dealing with security, transport or health... In this context, the knowledge of the atmospheric radiation environment is crucial. Data can be obtained either by detection of natural particles in the atmosphere or by directly observing their effects on electronic devices. Locations with high altitude and high latitude are particularly of interest since particule fluxes are harsh.

Main Activity/ Remarks: H2O Antarctica Microwave Stratospheric and Tropospheric Radiometers The instrument named HAMSTRAD (H2O Antarctica Microwave Stratospheric and Tropospheric Radiometers) has been automatically measuring in the microwave domain water vapour (183 GHz) and temperature (60 GHz) from 0 to 10 km above Dome C (Antarctica) since January 2010. The aim of the programme is the study of the long-term evolution of water vapour and temperature from the planetary boundary layer to the tropopause and its impact on climate change. In addition to the long-term trends, the diurnal cycles, the seasonal variabilities and some specific case studies are intended to be analyzed. The HAMSTRAD measurements will be compared to the space-borne measurements (IASI, AIRS), in-situ sensors along the 45-m high tower, daily radiosondes, ECMWF analyses/forecasts, and the Météo-France climate model outputs. Along with the polar process studies, the project will also participate to the validation of space-borne sensors, model outputs and ECMWF analyses/forecasts.

Main Activity/ Remarks: Social, occupational, environmental and psychological adaptation in ICE situations: identification, analysis, elaboration and validation of tools measuring adaptation in ICE situations The aim of the present project is to study social, occupational, environmental and psychological variables which are among the most important determinant in adaptation to Isolated and Confined Environments, the so-called ICEs. The evolution and the relationships between these variables will be investigated. Furthermore, in an interdisciplinary approach, we propose to analyze the relationships between psychological and medical data available in order to evaluate the relevance of the psychological measures. This project aims to gather data in order to construct standardized tools that will help evaluating individual and collective adaptation in ICEs which would facilitate both recruitment and follow-up of the implicated crews.

Main Activity/ Remarks: Adelie penguins as Monitor of the Marine EnviRonment / FR: Les manchots Adélie bioplateformes de l’environmment marin This program proposal proceeds from the recent international efforts towards long-term monitoring of at-sea foraging performances of key species serving as eco-indicators of environmental changes. Here, foraging success of these species are linked to physical parameters of their environment and to resource availability. The data collected will consist in identifying the preferred foraging zones of Adélie penguins in Dumont d’Urville, Adélie Land and quantifying the hunting effort according to i) the availability of their main prey, ii) their own ability to find and capture prey, which depends on their individual quality. In partnership with the WWF, these data will be included in the databases of international programs of eco-regionalization (Census of Antarctic Marine Life, SCAR). Comparisons with Adélie penguins' performance in other regions of the East Antarctic sector will be conducted, in collaboration with colleagues from Australian and Japanese polar institutes. The originality of the proposal is two-fold: i) l'AMMER could represent the first French observatory dedicated to the monitoring of at-sea foraging performances of a polar top predator; ii) it does not only consist in a simple monitoring but will also try and determine what in the foraging performances proceed from the intrinsic characteristics of the individuals monitored, using cutting-edge approaches (hormonal measurement, rate of telomere loss and fractal analyses).

Main Activity/ Remarks: Micrometeorites at Concordia The general framework of the present project is the astrophysical context of the solar system formation and its evolution during the first millions of years after the gravitational collapse of the proto-Sun. Most of the constraints we have on this remote period are coming from the study of solar system small bodies (i.e. asteroids, comets) that are undifferentiated. The aim is collect micrometeorites (i.e. interplanetary dust particles) from central Antarctic snow at the vicinity of CONCORDIA Station. The major result of our previous collection program at Dome C (January 2006) was the discovery of a new type of interplanetary dust (i.e. ultracarbonaceous micrometeorites, UCAMMs) of most probable cometary origin (Duprat et al. Science 2010). These particles are very rare and Dome C has unique advantages for their recovery. We propose a 4 years program in order to perform a collection of more than 10 000 micrometeorites including several tens of UCAMMs. The mineralogical, chemical and isotopical study of these exceptional particles will be performed in the framework of a research contract that we recently obtained from the french “Agence Nationale de la Recherche” (ANR).

Main Activity/ Remarks: Long-term UTLS and stratospheric ozone monitoring, stratosphere-climate interactions: NDACC-France Antarctic contribution Progam 209 « NDACC-Antarctica » is the Antarctic (and sub-Antarctic) component of the NDACC-France Observing Service, which is the French contribution to the international NDACC (Network for Detection of Atmospheric Composition Changes). This network aims to the monitoring of Upper Troposphere-Low Stratosphere (UTLS) chemical composition, in order to detect trends and variability, as well as climatic interactions. NDACC contributes to feed decision processes in the frame of the Montréal Protocol. The objectives of the « NDACC Antarctica » 209 program are divided into two main axes: 1. Long-term monitoring of the Antarctic UTLS in the frame of the Observing Service NDACC-France; 2. Process studies required to understand the ongoing mechanisms. For the 2011-2015 period, this type of studies will concern the microphysics of condensed phases present in the UTLS and the polar air mass dynamics to improve global modelling of the ozone-climate interactions. The program is implemented on three sites: Dumont d’Urville (main site), Kerguelen and Concordia.

Main Activity/ Remarks: The NIVMER program of the ROSAME tide gauge network -http://www.legos.obs-mip.fr/en/observations/rosame/- is complementing several national research programmes using in situ sea level variation observations, in the peri-antarctic area of the Indian Ocean. These programmes are related to: tsunami warning system, satellite altimetry processing and validation, Antarctic Circumpolar Current monitoring and secular mean sea level trends. This tide gauges network is part of the GLOSS global network.

Main Activity/ Remarks: Snow properties evolution in a changing climate in Antarctica "The interactions between the snow on the surface and the atmosphere are very strong and are responsible for important feedback loops in the climate system, especially in snow-cover areas like in Antarctica. NIVO project aims to better quantify these interactions and improve their prediction by physically-based snow evolution models. For this, the project will implement automated instruments and conduct manual measurements to monitor the evolution of snow physical properties at Concordia and Cap Prudhomme stations in East Antarctica. These observations related to thermal variables, the radiation balance or the surface state, will allow to better understand the evolution of the snowpack, to calibrate the observations acquired by satellites and validate snow evolution models to, in fine, suggest improvements. In the field, NIVO will deploy and calibrate new instruments developed in the framework of the ANR ``MONItoring SNOW in a changing climate `` (spectrum of snow optical properties, snow grain size profile, ...). It will also manage the instruments in operation for several years at Concordia (snow temperature, surface photography ...), and will contribute to the characterization of the spatial variations around the stations and on traverse to understand the representativeness of point measurements provided by the instruments."

Main Activity/ Remarks: Energetic challenges in penguins: Physiological, Bioenergetics and Molecular Adjustments Our research program PHYSIONERGY is devoted to the study of the physiological, bioenergetics and molecular adjustments that sub-Antarctic and Antarctic penguin chicks and juveniles (Aptenodytes patagonicus and Pygoscelis adeliae) develop to overcome energetic challenges imposed by their ashore and sea living stages. These challenges are characterized by short growth period in cold environment, long-term fast during winter or moulting, the passage from shore to marine life to reach nutritional emancipation, the production of visual cues as an indicator to partners of individuals ``quality`` on vital aspects of organismic function. Penguin is an extraordinary model to study on the same specie several bioenergetics trade-off between expansive energy consuming processes (endurance, thermoregulation, protein synthesis, ornamental colors) and limited environmental resources (oxygen during dives, nutriment while fasting during winter or molt, carotenoids).

Main Activity/ Remarks: Adaptive polymorphism, climate warning, and resilience of Antarctic annelid species "The research program is aimed at understanding the effect of very stable temperatures on the selection process and its effect on the resulting intra-populational adaptive polymorphism. It will be developed over 3 campaigns at Dumont d'Urville. The first year, we will sample populations of two sets of closely related species for two different families of polychaetes (total of 4 species) and evaluate the level of polymorphism for each. The second and third year will be dedicated to an experimental approach that will determine whether some alleles (or levels of polymorphism) are associated with better survival of a species to warming: TL50 will be determined, compared, and genotypes determined for the animals on either side of the TL50. Similar experiments will be carried out on populations of species close to the Antartic ones in a temperate area (Roscoff) for comparison with a fluctuating regime of temperatures. Genotyping will use a RAD-Tag approach: primers tagged for each individual specimen will be used to amplify the cDNA (or genomic DNA if introns are short) and the resulting tagged fragments will be used for 454 pyrosequencing. The selection regime will be evaluated for each studied gene using coalescence approaches and the underlying tests (Tajima, HKA, MK) used in population genetics."

Main Activity/ Remarks: Ecological Ressources and valorisation using an Long Term Observatory in Terre Adelie The Southern Ocean has a major influence on the ocean dynamics and climate wordwide. The Southern Ocean is characterised by its unique macrofauna dominated by abundant, diversified filtering organisms. Endemicity is very high due to the shelf isolation, circum-antarctic surface currents and thick ice coverage which onsets must have occurred some 40 mya. Recent past repeated ice advances and retreats promoted rapid speciations in some benthic groups, along with morphological adaptations. Some groups, like the poikilotherm, not iso-osmotic to seawater teleosts, developped in Antarctica physiological adaptations like antifreeze glycoproteins in their blood and gut. Climatic changes in Antarctica will likely have a strong effect of the climate wordlwide because of the regulatory role of the Southern Ocean. But it will surely have a role in benthic faunal changes because many species are presently stenotherm. For the moment Eastern antarctica is poorly affected by climate change and human activities. Biodiversity is exceptionnally high there comparing with arctic benthic fauna and the faunal assemblages described to date make this area a really unique patchwork of ecosystems. This area is therefore appropriate to establish a spot of reference to measure the biotic and abiotic parameters on the long run, which will allow to measure the structure and variability of an ecosystem in « normal » situations. The data that will be obtained will be of great importance for managing protected marine areas.

Main Activity/ Remarks: Seasickness on Astrolabe: Characterization and evaluation of pharmacological countermeasures during turnaround missions. Motion sickness is present in about 80% of the passengers during missions onboard the Astrolabe with sometimes a very significant risk of dehydration. Our unit specializes in the fundamental study of the vestibular system (inner ear), the sensory organ responsible of visual-vestibular conflict inducing this syndrome, and also provides medical support in parabolic flights (flight reproducing weightlessness) where this syndrome is also strongly present. Since the Astrolabe is a strong and reproducible stimulus triggering seasickness, we would like to characterize the strongest component of the elicitation of motion sickness (psychological component, types of boat movements) and to test 4 protocols of treatment of motion sickness with medical supervision (1 protocol per year), during turnaround missions of the Astrolabe. This work will be conducted in collaboration with the unit INSERM U 1075 (France) and the military research laboratory VIPER (Royal Military Academy, Belgium) specialized in extreme environments.

Main Activity/ Remarks: in-SitU proBing of GLACier Ice for a betterunderstanding of the Orbital Response of climate "The IPEV SUBGLACIOR project makes the logistical counterpart of the following scientific projects already funded : (1) the European ERC Advanced grant project ICE&LASERS 2012-2017 (coordinator : J. Chappellaz), (2) the French ANR ``Blanc`` project SUBGLACIOR 2012-2016 (coordinator : O. Alemany), (3) the sponsoring of the BNP Paribas foundation (SUBGLACIOR 2011-2013, coordinator : J. Chappellaz), and (4) one of the components of the Equipex project CLIMCOR (coordinator : D.D. Rousseau, INSU/C2FN). These joint projects (or component) aim at building a revolutionary probe to measure as a function of depth, inside the glacier and in real time, the water isotopic composition (climatic signal) and the concentration of greenhouse gases (methane, and eventually carbon dioxide - provided that we handle solubility effets -), without bringing an ice core at the surface. Ultimately, the probe will allow us to rapidly test the pertinence of an Antarctic site for a new deep drilling operation, similar to EPICA, to study the link between climate and greenhouse gases through the main climatic transition of the mid-Pleistocene one million years ago. In addition, the probe will already obtain - within a single field season - the first and most important signals over this period of time. The IPEV SUGLACIOR project will include in a first step two test campaigns in 2013/2014 and 2014/2015, to evaluate some technical choices currently envisaged for specific components of this probe. In 2015/2016, the full probe will be implemented at Concordia to measure the depth profile of water isotopes and greenhouse gas down to 3260 m of depth, and thus to validate the method against the results already obtained with the EPICA Dome C deep drilling. The last year of the project, 2016/2017, will be dedicated to the implementation of the SUBGLACIOR probe at a site of the East Antarctic plateau which can easily be reached from Concordia. The site will have been pre-selected by the ``oldest ice`` committee of the International Partnerships in Ice Core Sciences (IPICS)."

Main Activity/ Remarks: Sulfate and Nitrate Evolution in Dôme C air and snow For this renewal, the SUNITE DC will follow the same scientific objectives fixed during the previous program, i.e. document and use of the sulfate and nitrate stable isotopes in the context of an anticipated ozone hole recovering to put new constrains on the sources, transformations and transports of these species into polar regions where there are archived in ice for hundred thousand of years. However, the methodologies and approaches will evolve toward monitoring activities instead of intensive summer campaigns. The scientific activities will concentrate on the monitoring of the aerosol and surface snow isotope composition year-round with the double objectives of allowing the comparison of long isotope series with the recovering and dynamic of the stratospheric ozone and to secure continuous monitoring in case a major event will occur (e.g. major volcanic eruption, solar proton event, major ENSO etc.) .

Remarks: Modification par rapport aux itinéraires initiaux de "prea-season" en raison de la météo et de la forte présence de glace. NB.1: les sorties ont été effectué par roulement, toujours une personne à bord du navire; NB.2: Pour V2 (31/12/13 au 27/01/14) suite à la demande du chef de base de la station ukrainienne Vernadsky, 3 scientifiques ukrainiens ont été embarqué pour une journée afin d'aller faire des relevés et des prélèvements sur "Lahille Island", car ils ne disposent pas de moyen de transport suffisament grand pour le faire seuls depuis la base (ils n'ont que des zodiacs). En raison, d'une très forte présence de glace, le débarquement sur "Lahille island" n'a pu être effectué, seule une approche a pu être faite.

Remarks: un des deux navires de croisière de la Cie du PONANT. Itinéraires quelque peu modifiés essentiellement par la présence de glace en Mer de Weddell jusqu'à mi-février 2014. Remarks: un des deux navires de croisière de la Cie du PONANT. Itinéraires quelque peu modifiés essentiellement par la présence massive de glace en Mer de Weddell jusqu'à la mi-février 2014. Les itinéraires ont donc été revisités vers le sud Péninsule où les dépressions étaient moins fortes et la glace moins présente, donc plus sécuritaires en tout point. NB: les débarquements avec les touristes ne se font pas à plus de 100 pax/site (roulement avec les différents zodiacs de débarquement).
